The Misfortunes That Befell Ridal
The great underground city. Jorfberg is a vast as the mountain it resides under. The Great Cavern rings the entire underground of the mountain and encompasses more space than all of the manmade cities around God’s Peak. Jorfberg is renowned for its smithing. The dwarves were the first to attain the ability to shape steel, and the first to sell it. Jorfberg is separated into several layers, each of which are separated into three districts. The uppermost layer is known as the District of Copper, hinting to its place to house the common peoples of Jorfberg. The sandwiched layer is known as the District of Gold. The District of Gold is the commercial hub for Jorfberg, where goods come from the outside, and the labors of the lower layer earn their keep. The bottom layer is known as the District of Iron, for the entire layer is nothing but forges and blacksmiths. The clangor of hammer on anvil percolates across the entire district, and the heat of all of the forges going at once brings a sweat to anyone’s brow.
